August marked another productive month in Bridge City, as the Green Africa team remained focused on delivering high-impact cleaning, greening, and maintenance services across the precinct.
Verge Maintenance, Grass Cutting, and Sweeping
Taking advantage of the late winter season, the team conducted comprehensive verge maintenance, ensuring that public-facing spaces remained neat and visually appealing. With grass continuing to grow rapidly, targeted grass cutting helped control overgrowth, particularly in high-visibility areas. Pavement weeding and clearing, along with road and alleyway sweeping, ensured that pedestrian routes and stormwater inlets remained unobstructed. In addition, the team began clearing weeds and creepers on the retaining walls along both the on- and off-ramps this past week.

Litter Collection and General Upkeep
Across all operational areas, the team maintained a consistent level of cleanliness, collecting 650 bags of litter during August. This ongoing effort not only enhances the overall appearance of the precinct but also supports environmental health and safety.
