September was another productive month for BCMA’s cleaning, greening and maintenance teams, with work focused on keeping the precinct clean, well-presented and functional.
Key Maintenance Activities Completed
A total of 762 refuse bags were used during the month as teams carried out routine cleaning and litter collection throughout the precinct. Maintenance and greening activities were carried out along several key routes, including Bridge City Boulevard, Torvale Crescent, Nkunzana Road and Iqola Road. Work completed included:
- Grass cutting and verge maintenance on major routes
- Weeding and landscaping in public areas
- Ongoing garden and flower bed maintenance along Bridge City Boulevard
- Cleaning activities commenced at the intermodal facility
Contractors also undertook grass cutting on municipal-owned sites surrounding the lower platform and areas adjacent to the mall, complementing BCMA’s ongoing maintenance programme.
