April has been a productive and proactive month for the Bridge City Management Association, with continued focus on maintaining a clean, green, and well-managed precinct.
Safety & Security: Minimal Incidents
The precinct experienced only a few isolated, minor theft incidents during the month, with no significant security-related incidents reported across both private and public spaces.
Proactive Maintenance in Action
Our service provider, Green Africa, delivered a strong month of consistent maintenance. Key highlights included:
- Extensive verge cutting across the precinct and at key entrances;
- Ongoing weeding and garden maintenance;
- Illegal dumping removal at the corner of Torvale Crescent; and
- Targeted intervention at the intermodal facility, including cutting back overgrown grass and alien vegetation. While this remains a privately owned site, BCMA decided to intervene, ensuring the area is maintained while ongoing engagements with eThekwini Municipality continue to formalise a long-term maintenance plan until the site is occupied.
Growth & Development
Beyond maintenance, progress continues on the development front, with Design Review ongoing for Portions 30, 31, and 32.
This month’s outcomes reflect BCMA’s continued commitment to proactive maintenance, responsive management, and long-term precinct enhancement.
