USAID-funded NGO, John Snow Inc (JSI) will start COVID-19 screening in Bridge City every Wednesday from 29 July for the next three months. Also supported by the Department of Health, the test site will be located on the corner of Nogwaja Road and Ndlanzi Lane. Services are free and will include HIV testing, Diabetes and BP checking, condom distribution, health promotion and education. Those needing further assistance will be referred to JSI’s northern affiliated medical facilities in Osindisweni / Tongaat, Newtown A, Phoenix and KwaMashu. BCMA precinct manager Nwabisa Mkhize says: “Direct and easy access to health services like these enables more people to get screened as part of their daily routine and will help us continue to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the precinct.” Please visit https://www.jsi.com/ for more information on JSI.
