Smoother Surfaces and Cleaner Streets: May Cleaning and Maintenance Update in Bridge City

With the drier autumn weather creating ideal working conditions, our Green Africa cleaning and greening team took full advantage to catch up on key maintenance tasks. These included verge and embankment grass cutting, and weeding along the retaining walls throughout the precinct.

Improved Access Enables Cleaner Results

Recent municipal grass cutting on open stands greatly improved access to areas that had become overgrown. This made litter collection more efficient, contributing to a notable achievement by our team for the month — 705 bags of litter collected in May.

Minor Repairs Make a Major Difference

Beyond cleaning, the team also addressed minor infrastructure issues. These included cleaning, straightening and repairing precinct signage and attending to damaged pavements, ensuring that public areas remain safe, user-friendly and well maintained.

Continued Commitment to Clean, Green Spaces

Thanks to the ongoing work of our on-the-ground teams and collaboration from eThekwini Municipality, Bridge City remains a clean, green, and well-managed urban environment.
