September brought a renewed focus on maintaining Bridge City, particularly in response to the heavy rains experienced early in the month. Our teams worked diligently to address critical maintenance areas and ensure that both safety and cleanliness were prioritised throughout the precinct.
Post-Rainfall Cleanup and Infrastructure Maintenance
Following the heavy rains, our team prioritised the cleaning of the gabion mattress in the business estate, ensuring proper water flow to mitigate potential flooding or erosion. Additionally, a section of the M25 that experienced scouring due to rain was also cleaned, helping to prevent further damage and ensuring safety for all road users.
Verge Maintenance and Litter Removal
Verge maintenance was a key focus across both the Town Centre and the business estate, with teams working on trimming overgrown areas and keeping roadside verges neat and tidy. This included litter picking and general cleaning to maintain the cleanliness of public spaces, ensuring that Bridge City continues to offer an inviting and well-maintained environment.
Grass Cutting and Landscaping Efforts
Our grass-cutting teams concentrated on the Town Centre area, addressing overgrown sections and improving the overall aesthetic appeal of the precinct. Alongside this, Green Africa had a productive month, working on landscape maintenance throughout the precinct, including replanting gardens, removing dying plants due to the dry season, and preparing gardens for Spring.
Safety Enhancements: Boundary Cutting
Looking ahead, the team will shift focus towards boundary cutting around specific properties. This will improve visibility for security personnel, enhancing overall safety within the precinct. These efforts align with our continued focus on making Bridge City a safe and secure space for residents, businesses, and visitors.

The comprehensive cleaning, greening, and maintenance efforts throughout September reflect our ongoing commitment to keeping Bridge City clean, safe, and visually appealing. From post-rainfall cleanups to regular verge and landscaping maintenance, these efforts ensure that our precinct remains a thriving, well-maintained space for all.
