This month, the Bridge City precinct benefited from several key municipal interventions, with 5 faults being reported and resolved, ensuring the ongoing safety, functionality, and reliability of our infrastructure.
Sewer Maintenance & Unblocking
During the month, an overflowing sewer was reported at the corner of Bhejane and Nogwaja Street. Teams from eThekwini Water and Sanitation (DWS) attended the site promptly, carrying out the necessary unblocking work to restore normal flow and prevent public health risks.
Additionally, a DWS team addressed a blocked sewer on Indlanzi Lane, further supporting the smooth operation of the precinctβs sewer network. These interventions highlight the importance of proactive monitoring and timely maintenance in keeping Bridge Cityβs public spaces safe and fully operational.

Electrical Infrastructure Repairs
The precinctβs electrical service provider was on site at Torvale Crescent, completing cable repairs to improve reliability and address intermittent faults. Maintaining functional and resilient electrical infrastructure is essential to supporting both businesses and public spaces within the precinct.
