Precinct Clearing Efforts Enhance Visibility

Cleaning, Greening and Maintenance

February has been another steady and encouraging month for the Bridge City Management Association (BCMA), with continued focus on safety, visibility, and proactive precinct maintenance.

Proactive Crime Prevention Efforts

We are pleased to report that there were no security incidents in our public spaces during the month. In support of ongoing crime prevention and visibility efforts, the Excellerate Tactical Unit conducted targeted stand-downs at key areas in the precinct.

Increasing Visibility: Extensive Grass Cutting & Embankment Clearing

Our appointed service provider, Green Africa, has had a productive month, continuing to carry out their scheduled maintenance tasks across the precinct.

With temperatures climbing into the mid-30s, the team implemented additional watering of flowerbeds and landscaped areas to support plant health and prevent heat stress. Beyond routine maintenance, special attention was given to the on- and off-ramp areas, with retaining walls cleared of weeds and creepers, improving both aesthetic appeal and overall upkeep of these high-visibility entry points.

In addition, Green Africa made significant progress on boundary fence maintenance, starting at Dr Pixley Hospital and working down into the business estate behind the Mpact property. The team will continue to complete the embankments before proceeding to the iQola Road embankments, with additional work focused on alien invasive clearing.

The combination of zero public space incidents, visible tactical deployments, and proactive environmental maintenance reflects BCM’s continued dedication to a well-managed, safe, and welcoming precinct.
