Established in 1980 by N igel J ohn R iley, NJR Steel has been operating for 42 years in 5 provinces . The steel merchants who stock, distribute and add value to a broad range of steel products, were one of the first businesses to occupy Bridge City in 2017.
“Bridge City offered ideal premises on a flat site, access to the Phoenix, Inanda, Ntuzuma and KwaMashu customer base and proximity to the N2 offering easy of delivery to customers up and down the coast all influenced our decision to relocate from New Germany in 2017. We are still the only steel merchant in the area offering a broad range of steel and hardware for steel, to the public and local businesses”, explains NJR Steel director, Anthony Chapman.
When asked about his big dream for Bridge City’s future, Chapman said he hoped that remaining vacant properties would be established and occupied. Safety and security remain at the fore, and for the precinct to remain a safe area for staff to commute through.
