At Bridge City Management Association (BCMA), we are dedicated to maintaining a clean, green, and functional environment for our community. Here are the latest updates on the impactful work carried out by our Green Africa team:
Gabion Bed Cleaning
One of the key tasks completed by Green Africa was the thorough cleaning of the gabion bed behind NJR Steel in the business estate. This essential work helps maintain the stability and effectiveness of our erosion control structures, ensuring the area remains secure and well-maintained.
Drainage System Maintenance
In addition to the gabion bed cleaning, the team conducted adhoc cleaning of the drainage system. This proactive measure ensures that there isnβt debris build-up or blockages, which can lead to flooding or waterlogging, thereby maintaining the proper functioning of our drainage infrastructure.
Flower Bed Watering
Our team also dedicated time to watering the flower beds around the precinct. Regular watering is crucial to keep our plants healthy and vibrant, enhancing the visual appeal of our community spaces and creating a pleasant environment for all residents and visitors.
Alien Plant Removal
Another significant effort by Green Africa was the removal of alien plants along the iQola Road route, visible from the M25 highway off-ramp. Removing these invasive species is vital for preserving the local ecosystem and promoting the growth of native plants.
Hloni Mpanza, Precinct Manager, commented on the recent efforts, saying, “The ongoing maintenance and proactive measures by our Green Africa team are essential for the sustainability and beauty of Bridge City. Their work ensures that our precinct remains a well-maintained and attractive environment for everyone.”
