The Bridge City MA control room, located on the Indlanzi Lane side of the Bridge City Shopping Centre, is up and running despite power interruptions. Power supply to the control room was affected when parts of the centre were burnt two weeks ago during the civil unrest. Thanks to the management association’s generator, surveillance of the precinct continues. Bridge City shopping centre security officers are also using the control room to sign in and off duty. As the MA’s offices were also looted and destroyed, BCMA precinct manager, Hloni Mpanza, is currently operating from nearby Riverhorse Valley to ensure services to the precinct continue unabated.
