Bridge City Management Association (BCMA) is in the process of implementing a significant backup power upgrade project, aimed at strengthening the precinct’s security infrastructure and resilience.
A key part of this upgrade includes the installation of a solar power system, supporting BCMA’s long-term goal of uninterrupted service delivery and CCTV monitoring during load-shedding or municipal power outages. The project scope also includes new battery installations and internal component upgrades across all 13 security cameras, alongside enhancements to operating systems and control room infrastructure.
Although the solar installation was delayed due to shipping constraints and the local fabrication of mounting brackets, these hurdles have now been overcome. According to service provider Excellerate, the full system installation is expected to be completed by end July.
Once operational, the upgrades will significantly boost surveillance uptime and overall precinct safety, ensuring a more secure environment for all who live, work, and visit Bridge City.
