November welcomed much-needed rainfall across Bridge City, bringing a noticeable uplift to flower beds, open spaces, and the overall greening of the precinct. While this seasonal change contributed to a more vibrant environment, it also accelerated vegetation growth, prompting targeted action from both the Green Africa team and eThekwini Municipality’s appointed service providers.
M25 Ramp and Verge Maintenance Keep Gateways Tidy
A major focus area this month was the cleaning and maintenance of the M25 on- and off-ramps, where the precinct’s maintenance team attended to retaining walls, verge cutting, and sweeping, ensuring that key entry and exit points remained neat and navigable. Additional verge and flower bed maintenance across the Town Centre and Business Estate supported visual appeal and helped manage the seasonal surge in weed growth.
Municipal Intervention Supports Open Stand Management
We extend our thanks to eThekwini Municipality for deploying their service provider to cut and clear open stands across the precinct. Completed by mid-November, this work included:

Grass cutting on overgrown sites

Litter collection on unmanaged land parcels
These efforts have significantly contributed to keeping the precinct safe, accessible, and visually well-maintained.

With more rain expected in the coming weeks, the BCMA will continue prioritising verge management, stormwater inlet clearing and visible site upkeep, ensuring Bridge City remains a well-managed and welcoming environment for all.
